Bernd Leno says Arsenal are capable of scoring against any opponent

Bernd Leno says Arsenal have the caliber against almost any competition this year to score but considers building a defensive record is far more important for the Gunners.
Arsenal have taken seven points from their four Premier League games but also have fought with the identical frailties which have hampered the team in recent seasons.
Leno was guilty after parrying a shot in Erik Lamela of letting Christian Eriksen a tap in during Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.
Arsenal fought to secure a 2-2 draw thanks to goals although harry Kane added a second from the penalty spot.
“We know about our character but also concerning the caliber,” said Leno. “The three players up top, using [Nicholas] Pepe there today, we’ve got quality.
“They could score the big chances but also score from nothing so the other teams always understand and have to take note that we’ve got a lot of dangerous players which provides us big confidence.
“You may observe the game against Liverpool, we had just one or two opportunities to score when it was 0-0 therefore we can score with our quality at the top three.
“We can score against everybody but I believe that the key is the balance with the defence since ultimately that’s the most important thing.”
Leno believes he responded well to his mistake in the derby, which could have ended in triumph for Arsenal had Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ late goal not
“I feel that the first goal was a bit unlucky,” he explained.
“I couldn’t catch the ball completely and then I tried to catch up however Eriksen scoredit had been unfortunate but that’s the lifetime span of a goalkeeper.
“For me personally it was like the group, I had to stand up. It’s not a significant problem simply because we conceded a goal, I had to remain positive and I thought after I did a very good job.”
Tottenham have finished over Arsenal but Leno believes Sunday’s result proves Unai Emery’s side may find the better of their opponents this time round.
“Today we showed we can play much better than these,” he explained following the match.
“To be truthful in the first half you saw the caliber of Tottenham so again it will a quite difficult fight until the end of the year and then we will see who’ll be better.”
